A
visit to Rainier isn't complete without stopping by historic
Alexander's. Just
one mile from the Nisqually Entrance to
Mt. Rainier National Park, Alexander's Country Inn
Bed and Breakfast & Restaurant offers romantic lodging
accommodations and fine dining.
Alexander's is a small (12 unit) moderately
priced hotel where guests enjoy attentive professional
service. Complimentary breakfast ---homemade pastries,
seasonal fruit, coffee and juice and a choice of entrees
such as omelets, cheese blintzes topped with berry sauce,
pancakes or quiche Lorraine---is served in the restaurant
and in the evening guests relax with a glass of wine in
Alexander's beautiful parlor.
The
inn has European antique stained glass windows and the
rooms are furnished with antique beds and armoires. Quality
linens and bouquets of fresh-cut flowers add to the comfort
and romance one expects at a historic inn. A new hot tub,
with Jacuzzi jets, overlooks Alexander's Trout Pond and
waterfall. Overnight guests are invited to walk
the nature trails and explore the back acreage that borders
the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The landscape of
towering old-growth fir trees, lush fern grottos and wildflowers
is as beautiful and pristine today as when the original
homestead was founded.
Known for its fresh rainbow trout,
homemade bread and blackberry pie,
Alexander's Restaurant
promises quality food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
During the summer, our organic vegetable and herb gardens
provide much of the produce used in the restaurant. Reservations
are encouraged and may be made by calling:
360-569-2300.
Please see our Restaurant Page.
Alexander's has two affordable vacation rentals,
just 75 yards from the inn. If your looking for the spaciousness
of home and the amenities of a hotel...consider The
Forest House and The Chalet. Each house is
as cozy as a cabin and has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to
8 guests. Breakfast is included in the daily rate. Fully
stocked kitchens, Gas Fireplaces. See our Vacation Rental
